Music talent hunt contest Sur Doriya Epar Opar

For the first time Bangladeshi satellite television channel ‘Channel i’ and Indian ETV Bangla have jointly organised a music talent hunt contest titled ‘Sur Doriya Epar Opar.’ A total of 15 contestants of each Bangla have competed in the contest.
For the first time contestants of two Banglas are found in common competition. Noted Indian singer Bappi Lahiri and Bangladeshi Tagore art-iste Rezwana Chowdhury Bonya are main judges of the contest. Mostafa Zaman Abbasi, Sheikh Sadi Khan, Rafiqul Alam, Fatema-tuz-Zohra, Abida Sultana, Fakir Alamgir, Razzak, Moushumi, Ferdous, Dity, Shimla, Emon Saha, Kabir Bakul, Balam, Dinat Zahan Munni, Farzana Brownia from Bangladesh, while Haimanty Shukla, Shuvamita, Antara Chowdhury and others from India have taken part as guest judges in the contest. Biswanath from India and Tanisha from Bangladesh have presented the show.
A total of 50 to 54 episodes will be held from audition round to grand finale of the contest. From July 2 the programme will be aired Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 5:30pm. In each episode, five to six contestants will take part. Of them one will be terminated. By this way, four contestants will compete in the grand finale. Of them, one will be the ‘Sur Doriya Epar Opar.’
