Siddik moves further ahead

April 29, 2012

Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh made a giant leap on the leaderboard in the Ballantine’s Championship in South Korea with a three-under-par 69 at the Blackstone Resort in Seoul on Saturday.
Siddik, who was languishing at the 29th place after the second round, fired six birdies against two bogies to move up to 18th position with an overall score of four-under-par 212 in the $3,000,000 tournament.
Siddik looked in a brilliant touch at the start of the third round hitting four birdies in the first six holes before his form dipped gradually.
He is, however, still way behind the tournament leader, Austria’s Bernd Wiesberger,
who had another immaculate round with seven-under-par 67 to take his overall score to 14-under-par 202.
He is now five shots clear of his nearest rival Australia’s Marcus Fraser, who is lying second with nine-under-par 202 overall score with the last round to play on Sunday.
