Citycell Bangladesh League begins today: Abahani Limited take on Beanibazar SC in opener

The country’s professional football league, the Citycell Bangladesh League, begins today (Sunday) at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The third version of Citycell Bangladesh League, earlier known as B. League, will start at 5:30 pm with holders Dhaka Abahani Limited taking on Sylhet Beanibazar SC in opener.
A record 13 teams, including three newcomers — Club Cup Champions Narayanganj Shuktara Jubo Sangsad, runners-up Feni Soccer Club and Sylhet Beanibazar SC — are taking part in the heavyweight league on home and away basis.
Apart from Dhaka and Chittagong venues, the league matches will also be played at three new venues–Sylhet, Feni and Narayanganj.
Each of the participating teams will be entitled to include maximum five foreign players in their line-up, but maximum three players will be allowed to play in a match.
All the six first round matches of the league will be played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka except Chittagong Mohammedan SC will play Dhaka Arambagh KS at their home ground–Chittagong MA Aziz Stadium on Oct 29.
The league matches will be interrupted by bigger events like the South Asian Games and SAFF Championship in next December and January.
The participating teams are: Dhaka Abahani Limited, Dhaka Mohammedan SC, Sheikh Russell KC, Brothers Union Club, Chittagong Mohammedan SC, Chittagong Abahani Lilited, Rahmatganj MFS, Arambagh KS, Farashganj SC, Muktijoddha SKC, Narayanganj Shuktara Jubo Sangsad, Feni Soccer Club and Sylhet Beanibazar SC.
