Dhaka Division brushed aside Chittagong Division by 4 wickets while Sylhet Division posted a comfortable 75-run victory over Barisal Division in the Women’s National cricket League yesterday.
At the SANS ground in Khulna, Chittagong put on 112 for the loss of nine wickets in their 50 overs. Fatema-Tuj-Johora was the topscorer for Chittagong with 36 runs, while Champa Chakma scored 22. 32 runs came from extras. Despite a 3 wicket haul from Chittagong all-rounder Champa, Dhaka got there by 36 overs losing six wickets. Ayesha Akter scored the highest 27 for Dhaka, Chittagong bowling were more indisciplined than Dhaka as 36 runs came from extras in their innings. In the other match at Khulna University Park Ground, Sylhet Division posted 140 runs before being all out in 38.2 overs, thanks to a four-wicket haul from Farhana Sultana. Jahanara Alam’s 28 was the highest with the bat. In reply, Barisal were skittled out for a meagre 73 in 31.1 overs, handing Sylhet an easy victory.
