December 30, 2009

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) on Wednesday announced the names of 3,116 plot winners of the fourth phase lotteries for Purbachal New Town Project and Uttara Model Town Project.
The plots were allotted among the winners in six categories — minister-deputy minister-state minister-MP and people enjoying same status, government job holders, people serving at different autonomous organisations, armed forces, other retired and remaining officers of the government and autonomous institutions.
A total 2,762 plots were allotted at Purbachal while the remaining 354 at Uttara.
Of the categories, only two categories–other retired and remaining officers of the government and autonomous institutions–got the plots through lotteries.
The other four categories obtained the plots as par age and pay scale.
Rajuk however did not hold lotteries for 60 plots at Purbachal and Uttara (55 plots at Purbachal and five plots at Uttara) in journalist category.
The formal draw of the lotteries for Purbachal and Uttara plots was held at the conference room of the housing and public works ministry.
The previous three round draws for the plots were held on September 17, October 10 and November 4 this year.
