NSU holds orientation programme

North South University (NSU) organised a virtual orientation for newly enrolled students of Fall Semester 2021 on its campus on Monday, said a press release.
This time around, 1,700 students have got the opportunity to get admission in the graduate (honors) courses in 16 departments of the four schools of the university. Around 400 students have been awarded merit-based scholarships.
The virtual orientation programme was broadcast live on North South University’s official Facebook page. All students were connected virtually, while guests were present physically on the campus, maintaining proper social distances and health-safety guidelines.
As chief guest, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud sent a written speech on the occasion as he was not able to be present.
NSU Board of Trustees chairperson Azim Uddin Ahmed was present as special guest while icddr,b Emeritus Scientist Dr Firdausi Qadri orientation speaker. MA Kashem, Benajir Ahmed and Rehana Rahman, members, Board of Trustees, NSU, were present as guests of honor. NSU Vice-Chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam chaired the event. – Press release
