Accept polls results: Hasina
Star Online Report
Awami League President Sheikh Hasina today hoped that the general election will be held peacefully and urged all to accept the election result whatever it will be.
She also flashed V-sign after casting her vote at Dhaka City College centre with her sister Sheikh Rehana at about 8:30am.
Talking to reporters emerging from voting booth, she expressed her hope that the Awami League-led grand alliance will get the chance of running the country after securing mandate in today’s election.
The former premier talked about the news of the BNP-led four-party alliances’ attempts of buying votes at different constituencies published in today’s different daily newspapers.
“If this happens how can I believe that the elections will be free and fair,” she said, adding, “What the Election Commission and the government have done to stop these?”
After casting votes, Hasina visited 13 polling centres including Hazaribagh, Rayerbazar, Mirpur, Kafrul, Badda and Uttara in the capital.
