Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau officials in a drug-related case on October 3. He will be staying at the Arthur Jail till October 20. But since Aryan Khan was arrested, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan have been in disbelief over their son being in jail.
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan had been trying to get bail for Aryan Khan, but to no avail. The last hearing revealed that the case regarding the bail will be heard again on October 20 but till then, he will have to remain in jail. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan expected him to be out by this time, but the unexpected turn of events have worried them even more. They’ve been in disbelief since he was arrested.
Bollywood Life quoted a friend of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan and said: “It’s not just about the bail. It’s much more than that. Shah Rukh Khan has never felt more cornered and defeated. In fact, he and Gauri Khan are yet to wrap their heads around what has happened. One day Aryan Khan was with them. The next day he is behind bars for allegedly breaking narcotics laws.”
While no drugs were recovered from Aryan Khan, the NCB is still questioning him regarding his involvement in the procurement of them. He has been cooperating with the agency officials, however, with the bail not being granted despite several appeals, more people are being added to his legal counsel. A source revealed: “I think there will be more legal advisors coming on board. But there is a growing feeling in the family that this is not just a legal matter.”
In the recent past, filmmaker Karan Johar was spotted arriving at Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s house with Rustom Mulla – senior lawyer. Satish Maneshinde is already serving as Aryan Khan’s primary lawyer, who, in the past, has worked for Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt’s legal cases.
