Popular actress Rafiaat Rashid Mithila, now is working alike for both the bengali films in Dhaliwood and Tollywood. Recently she returned to Dhaka from Calcutta and signed a contract for the upcoming government-funded movie ‘Jole Jwole Tara’ to be directed by Arun Chowdhury.
The shooting of the movie has already been started. Mithila will start her work in the movie from today. In this film Mithila stars opposite small screen actor F S Naeem.
When asked how did she get intertwined in this film? Mithila said, I was in Calcutta then. Two months ago, Arun Dada offered to act in his film ‘Jole Jwole Tara’. The story of the movie is about river and women, its good to hear indeed. Iffat Arefin Tonni wrote the story of the film. In the movie lead female character name is
Tara. This movie is a special job for me, because everything I’ve done before is almost urban. Since, it has not been done to act in a rural context in any film before; an additional interest is created with this. This is the first time I was excited to play the role of a naive woman.
In addition to Naeem and Mithila, the film also features great actors Fazlur Rahman Babu, Azad Abul Kalam, Munira Akhtar Mithu, Mustafizur Noor Imran and others.
After a long career on the TV screen, Mithila made her big screen debut last year with the movie ‘Amanush’, directed by Ananya Mamun, which is awaiting release.
Recently, the versatile artiste starred in three Tollywood films in Calcutta. These are Rajarshi Dey’s film ‘Maya’, Riingo Banerjee’s ‘A River in Heaven’, Arunava Khasnobis’s “Nitishastro”,”
