Diti’s last film gets censor certificate

The late popular actress Parveen Sultana Diti’s final film E Desh Tomar Amar got censor certificate on Thursday.
The film, directed by FI Manik, was submitted to Bangladesh Film Censor Board in June in the past year.
General secretary of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association Zayed Khan, who also acted inthe film, confirmed the matter to New Age.
Zayed Khan said, ‘The shooting for the film started about 10 years ago. It feels good to know that the film has received approval from Bangladesh Film Censor Board for its release.’
‘E Desh Tomar Amar is the final film starring the late renowned actress Parveen Sultana Diti. I have a lot of memories of acting alongside her in the film. We participated in the shooting for the film even after her death. I hope that film lovers will enjoy it,’ added Zayed Khan.
Parveen Sultana Diti passed away on March 20, 2016 while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Dhaka. She was suffering from cancer for a long time. She made her debut in the local film industry in 1984 after participating in the competition Natun Mukher Sandhane. She made her debut on the silver screen with
Amii Ustad. She later acted in films namely Swami Stri, Hiramoti, Hangama, Priyo Satru, Jonakir Alo and others. She bagged National Film Award in 1987 for her role in Swami Stri.
