StanChart appoints new HR head

Shah Masud Imam, will be heading Standard Chartered Bank’s Human Resources function in Bangladesh with effect from August 1.
Imam has been with the bank for the last five years in various senior roles, most recently as the regional head of corporate affairs for South Asia which includes Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan, said a news release.
He also has a work experience with corporate giants like Unilever, Coca Cola and Reckitt Benckiser. Imam holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.
Sandeep Mookharjea, who has been the Head of Human Resources for the past four years in Bangladesh, will be relocating to Standard Chartered Singapore to take on a new role in human resources with the bank.
