Etihad Airways signs deal with Wings Classic

May 26, 2010

Etihad Airways, the national flag carrier of the United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday signed an agreement with Wings Classic Tours and Travels Ltd, an aviation network company, to provide services to passengers travelling to and from Sylhet and Chittagong.
Accordingly, passengers willing to secure bookings, flights and confirmations with the Etihad will no longer need to come to Dhaka, or contact Dhaka offices and can instead communicate with the Wings Classic as service provider.
‘This agreement will not only expand our business but also enable us to secure desired market share in Bangladesh,’ Khondaker A Kabir, country manager of the airlines, told the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, the local company will begin providing the services to passengers from June 1.
The regional general manager of Etihad Joost den Hartog, managing director of its Dhaka office Mahbubul Anam and director of the Wings Classic Kazi Zahurul Qyyum were present at the function.
