Mehazabien Chowdhury crowned Lux-Channel i Superstar

Mehazabien Chowdhury Zenifar won the crown of Lux-Channel i Superstar 2009. She won the crown at the grand finale of the event at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city on Friday night. Jointly put together by Unilever Bangladesh’s brand Lux and Channel i, the highlight of the event was the announcement of the ‘Superstar’ of 2009. The programme also featured performances by the finalists as well as popular singers and models.
Mounita Khan Ishana became first runner-up, while Sadika Parvin Swarna secured the second runner-up position in this year’s contest.
As the winner of this year’s contest Mehazabein will be awarded major roles in a film presented by Impress Telefilm Ltd under the script of noted litterateur Syed Shamsul Haque. She got a brand new car and will get opportunity of an international scholarship for studying on acting. She received the award from Managing Director of Impress Telefilm Ltd Faridur Reza Sagar. The first “Lux-Channel i Super Star” was held in 2005. Since then the contest has been held every year. This instalment of the show saw a huge response as thousands registered from all over the country, chasing the dream of becoming a star. Only five have made it to the finals. They were: Ishana, Mehazabein, Orsha, Swarna and Tahsin.
Mehazabien Chowdhury dreams of a successful career and a happy family. Her motto is to live life like royalty. She wants to represent her generation as well as be a role model for young women. Born on April 19, 1991, Mehzabien treasures her earrings and bracelets. Facebook and shopping dominates her free time.
Mounita Khan Ishana fantasises about being the next superstar. “While there is life, there is hope” is her motto. She believes inner strength, experiences and truth cannot be lost or taken away. Born on December 16, 1989 Ishana looks graceful armed with the perfect smile. Ishana likes reading books and watching movies.
Sadika Parvin Swarna is yet another aspiring actress. Her motto is attaining maximum happiness with minimum cost. Born on January 19, 1982, Swarna has a fascination with everything casual and simple. Anklets, bangles and necklaces are her favourite jewelleries. Watching movies, listening to music, reading novels and dancing are her favourite pastimes.
