Subir Nandi passes busy Eid schedule

The music lovers of the country got the opportunity to enjoy celebrated singer Subir Nandi’s evergreen songs on Eid’s special musical programmes aired on different channels on Eid days.
The acclaimed singer presented hi popular numbers including Amr e duti chokh pathor to noy, Hajar moner kachhey proshno rekhey, Ami brister kachh theke kandtey shikhechhi in three phono-live studio concerts. He also anchored a musical show in the Eid celebrations programme.
On Eid day, Nandi performed on a musical show named Ranga Raat aired on Maasranga TV. He sang at a phono-live concert on Diganta TV on the third day and again appeared on the sixth day at another live musical show titled Panchanker Gaan that NTV aired on Wednesday.
Subir also participated as the anchor of programme Chandi Pashar, which featured the songs of Humayun Ahmed’s plays, on the fourth day of Eid on ATN Bangla.
A taciturn Subir Nandi just said, ‘It is a good experience to perform on musical programmes including phono-live shows on Eid.’
Eminent singer Subir Nandi has won the hearts of millions of fans across the county for presenting innumerable timeless songs since early seventies in all media including radio, cinema, TV and audio industry.
He clinched above hundreds awards including four times National Film Award as playback singer in 1984, 1986, 2002 and 2006. He also won Bangladesh Film Journalist Association awards in 1977, 1982, 1985 and 1986.
Moreover, he was the second Bangladeshi singer who rendered songs at the House of Commons in United Kingdom in 1994 in response to the invitation of cultural department of the house.
Recently, Citibank NA honoured Subir Nandi with a lifetime achievement award.
