BKSP clinch Young Tigers crown

A fine all-round performance by Salehin Rifat helped BKSP clinch the title of the Standard Chartered Young Tigers Under-16 Cricket Tournament beating Sylhet Division by virtue of first innings lead at the Dhanmondi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Resuming the day at 81-4 the boys of the Sylhet division could add only 80 runs to be all out for 161 in the first innings as Rifat continued to bowl with aggression to pick up five of the remaining six wickets that gave his team a narrow lead of 33 runs on the first innings. Masum Ahmed made 43 runs. Earlier, Rifat had scored a quickfire 42 runs in BKSP’s first innings.
In their second innings BKSP scored 157 runs for the loss of seven wickets with opener Rafsan Al Mahmud hitting 57 runs with five boundaries and a six. Liton Kumar and Moshabbir Hamid chipped in with 35 and 25 runs respectively.
