Recently, the Metropolitan Magistrate Ketaki Chavan issued a statement where she stated that Shilpa Shetty cleared her position shortly after the infamous incident. The magistrate also clarified that she is satisfied that the charges against the actress are “groundless”.
After reviewing the papers, the court gave clean chit to Shetty and discharged her from the alleged offences. The order reads, “Not a single element of any of the alleged offenses is being satisfied in the complaint. Moreover, none of the papers annexed with the final report discloses the act of the present accused so as to
bring her within the purview of Section 34 of IPC (common intention).”
Shilpa Shetty was booked under the IPC sections 292, 293, 294(obscenity) along with the Information technology and Indecent representation of women(prohibition) act.
The Hungama 2 actress had filed for discharge under section 239 and 245 that claimed that the allegations against her were “only that she did not protest when she was kissed by the co-accused Richard Gere ” which made her a conspirator or perpetrator to the crime.
