Salman Shah’s 25th death anniv today

Today is the 25th anniversary of the death of Dhallywood actor Salman Shah, who won the hearts of millions of film lovers across the country with his acting in films Keyamat Theke Keyamat, Sujan Sakhi, Ananda Osru and others.
Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association will observe the actor’s death anniversary organising a programme at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation in Dhaka.
‘Salman Shah was a member of the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association. We will observe his death anniversary organising dua mahfil and recitation from the holy Quran at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation on Monday.’ Zayed Khan, general secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association, told New Age.
Shahriar Chowdhury Emon, popularly known by his stage name Salman Shah, was born on September 19, 1971. He made his silver screen debut in 1993 through Sohanur Rahman Sohan directed film Keyamat Theke Keyamat. The film was a remake of an Indian film named Qayamat Se Qayamat Taak.
Before making his silver screen debut, he acted in the first episode of the drama series named Pathar Samay. He also appeared as a model in television commercials. He acted in 27 films till his death. His lifeless body was found hanging from the ceiling of his bedroom on September 6, 1996.
